Who am I?

An engineer’s mind.
A researcher’s curiosity.

I’m Eddie (Junyoung Sohn), a product engineer building web and mobile products and developer tools. I’m an M.S. student in Computer Science at Yonsei University’s Mobile AI and Systems Lab, interested in on-device AI and systems.

The longer version

My product work spans TypeScript, React, Next.js, React Native, and workflow automation. I also build Python developer tools and study systems through C and Unix projects. I develop PALAIT through Nanocraft, finding research questions in the behavior and constraints of software people use.

SOFTWARE, SYSTEMS & THE SPACE BETWEEN.

Things I’m building.

Web products, open-source tools, and a personal prototype. Each project includes my focus and its current stage.

A little deeper.

I’m an M.S. student in Computer Science at Yonsei University’s Mobile AI and Systems Lab (MAIS), advised by Professor Seonghoon Park. My interests include on-device AI, inference latency, and resource use in continuously running applications.

01

On-device AI

Intelligent applications that run on the devices we use every day.

02

Runtime behavior

Learning about latency and resource constraints in continuously running applications.

03

Questions from building

Connecting independent prototype work to questions worth investigating.

Independent projects are presented separately from my lab affiliation. Research outputs and publications will be added when ready to share.

How I think
about the work.

01

Useful before impressive.

Start with a real need. Let the complexity earn its place.

02

Details are the experience.

A clear sentence, a considered interaction, a system that behaves as expected.

03

Stay curious. Stay honest.

Ask better questions. Make the evidence visible. Leave room to change your mind.

Always a
work in progress.

Project

PALAIT / 팔아잇

I develop PALAIT through Nanocraft. The work connects product collection, preparation, supported marketplace uploads, and follow-up in one workflow.

My focus

Product engineering and workflow automation for repetitive seller tasks.

Current stage

Product development and beta hardening.

Project

zodify

I build zodify to make validation behavior and its limits explicit. The public repository documents schemas, strict types, conversions, and structured errors.

My role

Independent open-source development and documentation.

Current stage

Alpha. See the repository for the supported behavior and compatibility contract.

Project

THEJUSO / 더주소

I work on THEJUSO, organizing address information and how people discover it. The public site provides an entry point to the project.

My focus

Address-data relationships, page structure, and search visibility.

Current stage

An ongoing independent project with a public website.

Project

Posely

I developed and continue to refine Posely as a personal project. It connects product engineering to my interests in inference timing and continuously running applications.

My role

Personal prototype development and exploration.

Scope

Unreleased independent work. No clinical benefit, benchmark result, or official lab-project status is claimed.
